Central Illinois Communications, the parent company of Springfield Business Journal and Illinois Times, is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Consultant. We are looking for someone who can connect with clients and help them achieve their business objectives through effective print and digital advertising. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have an enthusiastic and outgoing personality, along with a drive to succeed. Responsibilities:
Sales
:Present, promote and sell company print and digital solutions to existing and prospective customers.
:Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
:Prospect to generate new customer leads and develop new business.
:Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
:Collaborate with team members and other departments.
Additional
:Continuously improve through feedback and development opportunities.
:Attend and participate in meetings, training, coaching, networking and community events.
:Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
:Analyze the markets potential, track sales and complete status reports.
:Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
:Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
:Identify and recommend locations for circulation.
:Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
:Minimum high school diploma or a combination of relevant work experience and education that can be considered equivalent.
:Sales, business, marketing and/or equivalent experience preferred with a proven sales track record a plus.
:Must have an appreciation for the community and our role in it.
:Must be able to handle a fast:paced environment while managing multiple projects, with multiple deadlines and ability to adapt quickly to changing business dynamics and communicate business strategies effectively with all levels of the organization.
:Strong communication, analytical, organizational, customer service, sales, marketing and leadership skills.
:Computer literacy is also a necessity. Experience with CRM System a plus.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed on site in office and off site at clients location or event location. Employee may be subjected to hours at the computer, on the phone, in a vehicle, standing and/or sitting. The environment is fast paced with multiple deadlines.
Compensation:
Base salary plus commission and bonus

Most readers subscribe to the publication and receive it at their place of business.
