Under the direction of the Enlace de Familias Resource Center Program Manager, the School Liaison will be
responsible for:
1. Identifying and qanalyzing data to determine family and community needs This will include tracking
requests for assistance from school personnel, parents, students & districts and Liaison responses to shed
light on high frequency needs.
2. Assisting students and parents in identifying & assessing supportive services designed to improve the
student?s academic performance
3. Developing strong working relationships with school personnel to identify key needs and priorities of
students and their parents/guardians and to become a resource to the schools and FRC staff as they work
to meet students? and parents/guardians? educational and non-academic needs;
4. Develop a referral system to identify and refer families in need from individual schools in collaboration
with the Holyoke Public Schools Director of Student Services;
5. Working with school personnel and local, state, and private agency direct service staff to develop and
implement processes for improving communication and coordination of services to youth;
6. Developing programming with/at local FRC that meets needs of families in the community- particularly
those whose children attend Holyoke Public Schools (HPS) and is aligned with the articulated family
engagement priorities of HPS;
7. Where possible, encouraging school district to offer programming at the FRC;
8. Documenting work to track successful strategies with youth and evidence of success and student-focused
strategies worth replicating; and perform other duties as assigned and needed.

Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English;
Proficient with diverse Latino social & cultural communities;
Proficient in MS Office applications, and competent with data-management platforms, multi-media
presentations, and Internet search engines; Knowledge of Holyoke community resources and Holyoke community-based providers and state human service systems;
Experience working with public schools;
Familiarity with Holyoke school district and key staff/faculty;
Experience working with families and individuals with a multitude of risk factors and needs;
Public speaking, convening, facilitation skills;
Excellent communication skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Must be available to work some evenings;
Must have valid driver?s license and your own reliable transportation.
