Job Description We are seeking one Business Technology Specialist for our Jacksonville, IL office! The Business Technology Specialist serves as the IT resource for business segments within BTSB. It involves a combination of technical support requiring some programming skills, rated as a step above entry level. Provides support and enhancements to business systems for internal and external staff, handles technical support and IT related deployments and updates. Candidates must have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. This position requires communication with a wide variety of users. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as main contact point for business center (sales, finance, marketing, manufacturing) Integrate commercial products with back end systems Manage software test environments Provide support to local and remote staff on company-supported applications Perform staff training on company supported apps Qualifications: Proficiency with Windows 7/10, PC's, printers and scanners General Understanding of servers in a Windows environment Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook General Understanding of LAMP stack Experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Experience with WordPress Strong verbal and written communication skills with audiences of varying technical literacy Experience with .NET, C#, and SQL Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem, solving, and organizational skills Bonus: Group Health Insurance Dental, Life, Medical PTO, Vacation hours Flexible Hours Small, family-owned business of 97 years Great company culture Education and/or Experience Associate's degree or equivalent from two- year college or technical school; or two year's related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
